Gina Centauro

Gina was born and raised in a suburb of Long Island in New York. She was raised in a very close family with her 3 siblings. Her sister Dina is her greatest motivator; Dina is deaf & autistic and struggles every day. From a very young age Gina has devoted her life to make sure that her sister is taken care of & has a happy comfortable home life. She put her own college education on hold to help her parents care for her sister. Her family has suffered many tragedies over the years, the loss of her mother to lung cancer in 2014, her father, a Korean War veteran, losing the family’s home from being shouldered with all of the medical bills from her mother’s illness. Gina did everything she could to make sure that her elderly father and handicapped sister had a new safe, comfortable place to live From her experience with her family she has a great understanding of the struglgles families in need face every day. Gina is currently working as a licensed contractor, interior & landscape designer with her husband. She recently went back to school to hone her art & design skills. Her belief is by transforming someone’s home you can transform their life. Home should always be a happy, safe & comfortable place, a sanctuary where you can escape the craziness of the outside world, a safe haven. That is exactly why she founded Rescuing Families, Inc. with her husband and family members. This is a cause worthy of standing behind, families helping families, there’s no better place to start…
