Vincent Centauro

At the young age 10 years old Vincent started his love of wood working by building tree houses for the kids in the community with his grandfather. By the age of 15 he was working for many contractors learning the trade as an apprentice. When Vincent was in his early 20s he decided to take on a different role after seeing my late father, a Vietnam Veteran deal with the everyday struggles from ataxia (neurological disorder similar to MS). Vincent wanted to do more so he became an EMT for the FDNY, helping families across New York City’s five boroughs for many years. He decided to leave the FDNY and return to his other passion, and became a licensed contractor. Vincent and his wife, Gina started their own contracting business, but again it wasn’t enough to just build homes and fix them. So his goal was to combine the two things he loved to do, building and helping families in need. And that is what he set out to accomplish by founding Rescuing Families, Inc. This has been something Vincent had always aspired to do and who better to do it with than his family.
